COLLECTION INFORMATION:

General Descripton of Artist Files Collection
The Fine Arts department has been collecting information, clippings, and ephemera on St. Louis area artists since the early 20th century. Most files are in the form of physical clippings housed in envelopes, but some exist only as entries in an in-house database. They are separated into 4 broad categories: individual artists, artists' groups, gallery names, and architects.
